Circa 1960 Dwight Eisenhower & Richard Nixon Multi Signed Baseball. Dwight Eisenhower and Richard Nixon both spent time in the White House during some of our country's most tumultuous days. Both Republicans are joined on this OAL (Cronin) baseball. The autographs were secured by Senators longtime equipment man Fred Baxter on Opening Day of the 1960 baseball season. Clearly Baxter knew what he was doing as both side panels and can be viewed from the same angle. A top coating is applied to the autographs to preserve their strength. Eisenhower's signature is 8/10 while Nixon's is a step down. Nixon and Eisenhower sat together for the ballgame, something which would be prohibited today. Current protocols do not allow a sitting President and Vice President to be at the same event together so this is a rare occasion indeed. The ball, nestled in its original box, has incurred toning from exposure over the years. Letter of provenance from the family of Washington Senators equipment manager Fred Baxter. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
