Circa 1958 Pittsburgh Pirates Team Signed Baseball. A perennial doormat, the Pittsburgh Pirates finally sniffed first place in 1958. Although they ended up eight games behind the Milwaukee Braves, there was hope for future success. This ONL (Giles) ball is signed by twenty-three members of that Pirates outfit. The ball has aged somewhat and the signatures average 7/10. The east panel's pennings have suffered a little ink saturation, but this does not compromise the Roberto Clemente (7/10). Autographs include: Daniels, Clemente, Freese, Peterson, Kline, Face, Stevens, Mejas, Kravitz, Virdon, Law, Friend, Powers, Murtaugh, Smith, Blackburn, Kluszewski, Groat, Burwell and four more. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
