Circa 1950 Bill Bevens Single Signed Baseball. He won a ring with the 1947 Yankees, but his hard-luck loss in that season's World Series is Bevens' greatest claim to fame. Though he had walked a record ten batters in Game Four, the Oregon-born right-hander was just one out away from victory and the first no-hitter in Fall Classic history when Cookie Lavagetto of the Brooklyn Dodgers doubled off the right field wall for the walk-off winner. Just three Bevens singles are known to exist, and this is one of them, his black fountain pen ink sealed beneath an ancient coating of shellac to 9/10 quality on the provided OAL (Harridge) ball. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
