Description

Circa 1946 Mel Ott & Johnny Mize Signed Baseball. It's so close to being one of the boldest Ott singles in the hobby, but if anybody needed to come along to undermine its single signed rarity, you could do a lot worse than Ott's Hall of Fame teammate Johnny Mize. The Big Cat prowls on the southern panel in equally bold blue fountain pen ink, each Giants giant projecting with 9/10 strength. ONL (Frick) ball looks like it had been a gamer before its date with this hard-slugging tandem, suggesting that it may well have been among the 870 launched into the cheap seats by this iconic duo. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
