Description

Circa 1940 Honus Wagner Single Signed Baseball. "You can have your Cobbs, your Lajoies, your Chases, your Bakers," once said Hall of Fame manager John McGraw, "but I'll take Wagner as my pick of the greatest." Perhaps best remembered as the face on the most valuable baseball card in the world, the legendary Pittsburgh Pirates shortstop remains a particularly tough autograph despite his many years in uniform, first as a player and later as a coach for the team he loved. An 8.5/10 side panel black fountain pen signature turns this ONL (Frick) ball into a true baseball treasure. One of the more impressive examples we've encountered of this essential single. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
