Description

Circa 1940 Honus Wagner & Ralph Kiner Multi Signed Baseball. Honus Wagner is the Pittsburgh Pirates' signature star. Not only did The Flying Dutchman lead the Pirates for sixteen years but lent his knowledge to a second generation by serving as batting coach for two decades. One of his prized pupils was Ralph Kiner. Known for his prestigious home runs, Kiner deposited numerous baseballs into Kiner's Korner at Forbes Field.

Both Hall of Famers come together on this dual-signed ONL (Frick) baseball. We estimate the ball was signed between 1946-52, when both were with the Pirates. The participants signed a side panel in blue ink, with Kiner offering a personalization. Wagner signed directly below Kiner. Both pennings rate 9.5/10. A top coating has been applied to preserve the strength of the autographs. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.

The hammer price for my Mantle card significantly exceeded my admittedly conservative estimations, and I couldn't be more pleased.
