The style of OAL (Harridge) ball that serves as a home for the Bambino's essential autograph allows us to date the signature to a period between 1934 and 1939, so it's likely that it dates to the final season of Ruth's service to the New York Yankees. The delectable vintage is only half the story though, as the black fountain pen offering is huge and finely rendered, with a degree of surface wear factoring to a conservative rating of 6/10.
