    Description

Circa 1932 Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig & Tony Lazzeri Signed Baseball--Only Known Example! Extraordinary rarity is the very first example we've ever seen of this Murderer's Row trio that finished one, two and three on the American League home run ladder during the fabled 1927 season. While Ruth and Gehrig are quite properly remembered as the elite slugging forces of the sport's Golden Age, Lazzeri was a transformative figure in his own right, delivering slugging power unprecedented among middle infielders. Seven times the first great Italian superstar of the Major Leagues recorded triple-digit RBI tallies. Teammate Joe Dugan commented on the extraordinary productivity that powered the Yankee juggernaut: "It's always the same. Combs walks. Koenig singles. Ruth hits one out of the park. Gehrig doubles. Lazzeri triples."

The Babe assumes his traditional sweet spot position on the provided "Babe Ruth Home Run Special," one of the most desirable formats for Ruth and his superstar compatriots. His signature is a bold 8/10, but outdone by his sidekick Gehrig to the west at 9/10. Lazzeri, to the south of Ruth, is 7/10. The ball itself is clean and lightly toned.

Ruth and Gehrig dual-signed balls arise on the auction circuit with some limited degree of regularity, but there is little risk in asserting that this is likely the first and last offering we'll see that adds Lazzeri to the mix. Interested bidders are advised to consider this a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
