    Description

Circa 1930 New York Yankees Partial Team Signed Baseball. We suspect that this OAL (Barnard) ball was signed over a period of time, as there are players whose paths never crossed in the Yankees dugout (Roy Sherid 1929-31 and Johnny Allen 1932-35), but the primary focus here are the high-grade autographs from the greatest figures in franchise history.

Babe Ruth commands his standard sweet spot position with a thunderous 8.5/10 signature, while Lou Gehrig appears to the east with equal strength. We also find Joe Sewell and Joe McCarthy at 8/10 strength. The balance of eleven signatures averages 7/10, and includes Dusty Cooke, Art Jorgens, Walter Brown and Lyn Lary.

But, again, the ultra-bold autographs of Ruth, Gehrig and McCarthy are the show-stoppers here, with each capable of commanding a six-figure price tag if he had been the only passenger on this ancient horsehide sphere. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from SGC Authentic.
