Description

Circa 1930 Lou Gehrig, Tony Lazzeri & Eddie Bennett Signed Baseball. Eddie Bennett was the New York Yankees' beloved mascot and good luck charm during the 1920s. A hunchbacked man, he became famous for his role on the bench, bringing positivity and superstition to the team. Bennett was part of the Yankees' first championship in 1923 and remained with the team until his death in 1935.

This unique catalog listing is signed by Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig (7/10) on a side panel which presents as a single. A separate side panel is signed by Tony Lazzeri (5/10) and mascot Bennett (6/10). Another person signed the OAL ball but that signature is lost to time. There are two holes, possibly from where the ball was mounted for display. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from Beckett Authentication Services.
