Description

Circa 1930 Chicago Cubs Stars Signed Baseball with Hack Wilson. The brilliant but troubled Wilson still retains the single season runs batted in record of 191, a staggering total that has survived over eight and half decdes and the growth of the Major League season from 154 to 162. Here we find his signature applied to an ONL (Heydler) sphere right around the time he set the mark. Fellow future Hall of Famers Cuyler and Hartnett appear as well, with Cliff Heathcote rounding out the list of signers. Wilson rates a bold 8.5/10 in black fountain pen ink, with the balance all falling within two points of the key signature. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
