Description
Circa 1927 Babe Ruth Single Signed Baseball. The most desirable of Bambino vintage is assured by a pair of physical attributes encountered upon examination of the presented sphere. First, we note that the red and blue stitched OAL baseball bears the presidential stamping of Ban Johnson, whose American League tenure concluded with the 1927 season. Secondly, Ruth's 7/10 blue fountain pen sweet spot signature is the quotation-marked variety, and "Babe" dropped that punctuation in 1928. The ball exhibits potential game use, which makes us dream that this may have been one of the Sultan's 714 swats. A splendid representation of the hobby's most essential building block.
