Description

Circa 1926 Babe Ruth & Tony Lazzeri Multi-Signed Baseball.
When autograph collecting was in its infancy, seekers would usually get as many autographs as possible on a baseball. Why waste an entire baseball for just one autograph? Sweet spot and single-signed were foreign terms to true collectors. They just wanted to prove a chance encounter did indeed happen. This OAL baseball, circa mid twenties, is signed by The Babe himself and a few others. Ruth's sweet spot signature rates 5/10. His Hall of Fame teammate, Tony Lazzeri, occupies a side panel. The "Anthony Lazzeri" signature suggests it was signed in the early stages of his career. Others who signed include: Frank O'Doul, Bill Cunningham, Sam Bohne, Bob Meusel, Babe Pinelli and Ray Kremer. Autographs average 7/10 to 8/10 unless noted. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from SGC Authentic.
