Description
Circa 1920 "Babe" Ruth Single Signed Baseball. Taking into account numerous exemplars of the mighty Babe Ruth's signature, we can assess that the current offering dates from some time around 1920. This is backed by the inclusion of the quotation marks around "Babe," the smaller size of the signature, and the fact that the Official National League ball was issued between 1917 and 1926. Serious collectors will realize the magnitude of an early Ruth on this ball due to the possibility that it was signed during one of Ruth's World Series appearances during these years. Personalized inscription reads "To Ed. Franz -- From 'Babe' Ruth," but after over eight decades the ravages of time have reduced the legibility of the ink to the 2/10 to 3/10 level.
