2015 Kris Bryant Home Run Baseball Hit to Pass Billy Williams for Most Home Runs by a Chicago Cubs Rookie with Photo Documentation & Notarized Letter! Kris Bryant figures to hit plenty of noteworthy home runs during his career. The entire sporting world got a glimpse of what Bryant was capable of in 2015. While he didn't break camp with the team, his Minor League stay was only a few weeks. On April 17, Bryant was recalled from Triple A Iowa and he never looked back. His rookie campaign culminated with a Rookie of the Year nod, and the Cubbies also played meaningful baseball in October for the first time in years. One of Bryant's signature moments occurred August 22, when he turned on an inside pitch from Milwaukee's Tyler Cravy and deposited the ball into the bleachers. Bryant's 26th home run put him ahead of Billy Williams for the most home runs hit by a Cubs rookie. After he rounded the bases and settled into the dugout, the crowd coerced him out for a curtain call. In attendance that chilly night was our consignor.

He was the lucky soul who calmly corralled the record-setting home run ball. Following his stroke of good luck, he was whisked away by Cubs security. Our consignor chose to keep the piece of baseball history, which is offered for the first time here. We will provide a link which captures the game action (12 seconds in is where the ball is caught), a screen grab of him hoisting the ball, a photo of our consignor after the game with the ball and also include a notarized letter from the ballhawk stating he did indeed catch Bryant's record-setting round-tripper. The OML (Manfred) baseball shows good overall wear and was properly prepped for big league play. While Bryant's ultimate goal will be to help the Cubs realize a World Series title, we can't imagine a better baseball to remember his rookie season by. Notarized letter of provenance from our consignor. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
