2008 Alex Rodriguez Last Yankee Stadium Home Run Baseball. A notarized letter from our consignor tells the story: "I, Christian Martinez, was at Yankee Stadium for the Yankees vs. White Sox baseball game. In the eighth inning of the game, I was walking through the stands and caught the record-breaking home run ball hit by Alex Rodriguez. This was the last home run that A-Rod hit in Yankee Stadium before it closed. Also, with this home run, A-Rod became the first player to have at least 35 home runs and 100 RBIs in 10 consecutive seasons..." The historic ball shows fine game use with the special Yankee Stadium logo used only during the final season at the old park. Included in the lot is a photograph of Martinez holding the baseball minutes after catching it. Check the video on the MLB website and you can clearly recognize Martinez coming up with the ball after a brief scramble for A-Rod's 533rd career long ball. A singularly unique artifact from the man who many believe will one day be the career Home Run King.
