2003 Sammy Sosa Signed 500th Home Run Game Used Baseball. Sammy Sosa was a powerful and explosive hitter, best known for his home run-hitting prowess during the late 1990s and early 2000s. He hit over 60 home runs in a season three times, including 66 in 1998 during his famous home run chase with Mark McGwire. Sosa had a quick, uppercut swing and excelled at driving the ball to all fields, particularly to left and center. Though he struck out often and wasn't known for high batting averages, his ability to hit long home runs made him one of the most feared sluggers of his era.Offered is a Rawlings OML-Selig baseball used in the April 4, 2003, game in which Sosa launched his 500th career home run. Sosa signed and inscribed the occasion. Game use wear apparent throughout. Item is accompanied by signed LOA from Sosa. Full LOA from Beckett Authentication Services.
