1999 Atlanta Braves Team Signed Baseball. The 1999 Atlanta Braves continued their dominance of the National League, finishing with a 103-59 record and winning their eighth straight division title. Led by a deep pitching staff featuring Greg Maddux, Tom Glavine, and Kevin Millwood, along with offensive stars like Chipper Jones (who won the NL MVP), the Braves were balanced and formidable. They advanced through the playoffs by defeating the Houston Astros in the NLDS and the New York Mets in a dramatic six-game NLCS. However, they were swept by the New York Yankees in the World Series, marking their second Fall Classic loss to New York in four years.
