    Description

1995 Greg Harris Pitches with Both Arms Game Used Baseball. The mighty Mick inspired every Baby Boomer to give switch-hitting a try, but only one Major Leaguer has ever taken his ambidextrousness to the defensive half of the game. Though a natural right-hander, Harris could effectively work southpaw as well, though Major League rules stood in his way. Finally, on the next-to-last game of his fifteen-season career, Harris was given the green light. In the ninth inning, the Expos ace retired Reggie Sanders with his right, then switched to his left for Hal Morris and Ed Taubensee, recording a walk and ground out respectively. He then switched back to his right to end the inning by retiring Bret Boone.

Umpire Eric Gregg, realizing he had seen something unprecedented, grabbed one of Harris' pitched balls and presented it for signing, which appears on the sweet spot of the ONL (Coleman) sphere in 10/10 ink: "Pitched left handed, Greg Harris, 9/28/95." Sure, it's an odd ball, but we bet it will be the best conversation piece in your collection. Clippings of original auction listing of The Eric Gregg Collection. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
