    Description

1992 George Brett 3,000th Hit Game Used & Signed Baseball with Player Letter.

UPDATE: This lot does not include a LOA from Heritage Auctions.

George Brett joined the 3,000 hit club in style when he churned out four hits against the California Angels on September 30, 1992. He celebrated joining the club by getting picked-off first base shortly after his big moment. This is one of the few Brett 3,000th hit game used baseballs to reach the auction block. Brett's signed letter of provenance, on team stationery, mentions this as being one of only ten game used baseballs saved from that historic contest. OAL (Brown) sphere is properly prepped and signed on a side panel in 8/10 black ballpoint with the inscription "#3000 9/30/92." Letter of provenance from George Brett. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
