1988 Gary Carter 300th Career Home Run Baseball from The Gary Carter Collection. This solo shot opened the scoring in a nine-to-six victory over the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley. Carter was able to retrieve well-worn the ONL (Giamatti) ball and notate the side panel with the following text: "300th lifetime home run off Al Nipper at Wrigley Field, Chicago, August 11th, 1988, 2nd inning, nobody on." This would prove to be Carter's final major home run milestone, as he'd retire with 324. Letter of provenance from Sandy Carter. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
