1985 Gary Carter 32nd Home Run of Season Baseball from The Gary Carter Collection. He clubbed a career-best thirty-two homers in 1985, and this was the last of them, a game-winning two-run blast in the top of the tenth to sink the Pirates. Carter's own handwriting tells the tale on the side panel of the well-worn ONL (Feeney) sphere: "9/29/85, 2-run Home Run 10th inning, Pirates vs. Mets, 3 Rivers Stadium, LHP McWilliams, 32nd Home Run of Season." This would calculate to the 247th of Carter's career. Letter of provenance from Sandy Carter. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
