1981-90 Montreal Expos Team Signed Baseballs Lot of 9. CORRECTION: Full letter LOAs for 1983, '84, '89 and 1990.The Montreal Expos were a snake bitten franchise. It seemed like for every step forward, the organization would take a step or two back. In the early 1980's the Expos fielded some great baseball teams but they were never quite able to get over the hump. The 1994 campaign was hardest to swallow. At the time of the player's strike, the Expos were the World Series favorites and had a healthy lead in the standings. The team never quite recovered and played before sparse crowds after the strike was settled. This run of ONL team-signed baseballs includes every season from 1981-90. The 1982 ball is signed on an OAL (Mac Phail) orb. Many superstars appear on multiple years. Those who signed include: Larry Walker, Marquis Grissom, Delino DeShields, Tim Raines, Randy Johnson, Andrew Dawson, Al Oliver, Pete Rose, Duke Snider, Gary Carter, George Steinbrenner ('82), Brooks Robinson ('86) and many more. The 1983 ball is graded by PSA/DNA with the following subgrades: autographs (9), ball (8), and overall (8.5). Most of the other baseballs have signatures in the 8/10 to 9/10 range while the 1981 and '86 baseballs are a slight step down. PSA/DNA full letters appear with the following: 1983, '84, '89 and 1990.
