1978 George Foster 40th Home Run Game Used Signed Baseball. In the latter half of the 1970's, baseball probably boasted no greater left fielder than Big Red Machine member George Foster. Three straight years he led the league in RBI and twice in home runs, coming close to a Triple Crown in 1977 with a .320 average to boot. From his second consecutive league leading home run season of 1978 comes this ONL (Feeney) game used and signed orb that Foster hit for his fortieth home run. Signed on the sweet spot, it includes the date "10-1-78" and "(No. 40)" in Foster's hand. Letter of provenance from Donald Buck (Reds Stadium Operations Manager). Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
