After two seasons of the greatest joy with back-to-back World Championships, the Yankees family experienced one of its darkest days in August of 1979 when their beloved captain's plane crashed short of an Ohio runway and burned with Munson trapped inside. Presented is a rare and important single signed baseball from the star catcher, his sweet spot blue ink autograph rating 8/10. The ball shows signs of light toning but the sweet spot signature makes up for any shortcomings. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from Beckett Authentication Services.
