1976 Thurman Munson Single Signed Baseball, PSA/DNA NM+ 7.5. After two seasons of the greatest joy with back-to-back World Championships, the Yankees family experienced one of its darkest days in August of 1979 when their beloved captain's plane crashed short of an Ohio runway and burned with Munson trapped inside. Presented is a rare and important single signed baseball from the star catcher, his sweet spot blue ink autograph rating 9/10. Spalding logo format below the Lee MacPhail presidential stamping of this OAL ball assures 1976 vintage, a season punctuated by Munson's acceptance of the American League MVP Award.
