1971 Nestor Chylak Signed Game Used Baseball from First World Series Night Game. With all the advancements in baseball stadiums over the years, it's almost hard to image a time without night games. In fact, the tradition started way back in 1935 with the Cincinnati Reds. However, it wasn't until 1971 that the first World Series night game was played. Taking place in Game Four, the contest between the Pittsburgh Pirates and Baltimore Orioles was the first such night game. The baseball in this lot is a game used ball from that game, as notated on a side panel. Another side panel has been inscribed and signed, "To: Jerry Butler, God Bless You, Nestor Chylak, A.L. Ump." The signature is in nice 9/10 ink and the ONL (Feeney) ball exhibits normal dirt stains as would be expected.Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
