1970's Thurman Munson Single Signed Baseball, PSA/DNA NM+ 7.5. After two seasons of the greatest joy with back-to-back World Championships, the Yankees family experienced one of its darkest days in August of 1979 when their beloved captain's plane crashed short of an Ohio runway and burned with Munson trapped inside. His elite significance to the 1970's return to Yankee glory and his tragic early passing have created a massive gap between demand and supply, and this is one of the finest of his singles that we've encountered.Don't take our word for it though, check the scoreboard. PSA/DNA are notoriously strict graders, and they don't throw around grades like this too often. But it's tough to dispute their findings on this sweet spot Munson signature on a Wilson ball. The experts graded the autograph 8 and the ball 7 for a cumulative grade of NM+ 7.5. An essential component of any serious New York Yankees autograph collection.
