Description

1970's Ted Lyons Single Signed Baseball. Enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame despite never having appeared in a postseason game, Lyons was the rare bright spot on a long-suffering Chicago White Sox squad when the mighty Yanks dominated the American League. "If he'd pitched for the Yankees," manager Joe McCarthy once claimed, "he would have won over 400 games." The right-handed Louisiana native supplies a fine example of his autograph upon the sweet spot of the provided OAL (MacPhail) ball, rating 9+/10 on the moderately toned hide. A surprisingly scarce single given Lyons' 1986 passing. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
