    Description

1970's Satchel Paige Single Signed Baseball. "Ain't no man can avoid being born average, but there ain't no man got to be common," the Negro League Hall of Famer once explained, and he himself was certainly anything but common. The same can be said for this OAL (MacPhail) ball, blessed with a 9/10 sweet panel black ink signature from the greatest pitcher of his age (according to folks like Ted Williams, Joe DiMaggio and Bob Feller). The ball itself exhibits mild toning throughout, typical of Haiti-manufactured baseballs of the era. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
