Description

1970's Roberto Clemente & Willie Stargell Dual-Signed Baseball. The careers of the two biggest names of post-war Steeltown baseball converged for a decade's time, but this is just the second example we've ever encountered of a dual-signed sphere from the Hall of Fame Bucs. A wonderful letter of provenance and a pair of photographs track the history, our consignor captured in posed photos with each legend on the 1970 (Clemente) and 1979 (Stargell) days he acquired the signatures.

Clemente's signature rates 7/10 on the sweet spot, brushed with a slightly toned application of vintage shellac. Stargell is uncoated and virtually perfect on the side panel. The ball is a "Baseball Hall of Fame" model, exhibiting prescience on the behalf of the young autograph seeker. Letter of provenance and photos from consignor. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
