Description

1970 Roberto Clemente & Willie Stargell Dual-Signed Baseball Used in First Game at Three Rivers Stadium. Two of the greatest stars ever to fly Pittsburgh's Jolly Roger share space on an ONL (Giles) ball, the first specimen we've ever encountered to boast this Cooperstown pairing. The ball exhibits some game use prior to its meeting with an autograph pen, and each signature retains 8/10 or better boldness over four decades later. This simply splendid relic is accompanied by a "3 Rivers Stadium Roving Pass" dated "July 16, 1970," providing a very special vintage for the autograph session, the grand opening of Three Rivers Stadium. Stargell went yard this day, a three to two loss to the Cincinnati Reds. Could this be Pop's long ball? Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
