Description
1969 Richard Nixon Single Signed Baseball. Richard Nixon's passion for sports could rival any President to date. Our consignor had this OAL (Cronin) baseball signed before the Yankees vs. Senators Opening Day game on April 7, 1969. An extremely historic event, it was marked the league's 100th year anniversary and the return of Ted Williams as manager of the Senators. A light layer of shellac is applied to the 8.5/10 autograph, which spans an entire side panel. "1969" is written to signify the year of autograph. Light toning appears throughout. The original box for this ball accompanies. Letter of provenance from the family of Washington Senators equipment manager Fred Baxter. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.Auction Info
