Description

1969 New York Mets Team Signed Bat. The 1969 New York Mets, famously known as the "Miracle Mets," shocked the baseball world by winning their first World Series just seven years after their founding. Managed by Gil Hodges and anchored by a dominant pitching staff led by Tom Seaver and Jerry Koosman, they went from perennial cellar-dwellers to champions seemingly overnight. After winning 100 regular-season games, they swept the Braves in the NLCS and defeated the heavily favored Baltimore Orioles in five games in the World Series. Their improbable run captured national attention and remains one of the most beloved underdog stories in sports history.

Offered is a 34-inch Rawlings bat signed by more than 20 members of the squad. Among the signers are Tom Seaver, Nolan Ryan, Jerry Grote, Jerry Koosman, Bud Harrelson, Donn Clendenon, Al Weis, Tommie Agee and more. The lumber exhibits minimal surface wear. Some ink smudging present, but not a distraction from this elegant piece. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
