1968 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball, PSA/DNA NM+ 7.5.

UPDATE: We have received a full letter of authentication from James Spence for this lot.

Mickey Mantle knew the end of the line was near in 1968 - his final season with the Yankees. Tired legs and a slower bat spelled the conclusion of a most memorable career. We are confident this is the one of the finest team-signed baseballs from Mantle's final run with the Yanks. A near white ball has 9/10 to 10/10 signatures from twenty-seven members of the team. How is that for a combination? "30" is written on a side panel so this was most likely signed for pitcher Mel Stottlemyre. We secured the vintage to '68 because those are the only common years for Mantle and Rocky Colavito. Autographs include: Colavito, Smith, Pepitone, Kosco, Talbot, Houk, White, Michael, Amaro, Gibbs, Tresh, Tillotson, Robinson, Turner, Hegan, Ford, McDaniel, Bahnsen, Mantle, Cox, Howser, Womack, Barber, Stottlemyre, Fernandez and one more. Full Grading LOA from PSA/DNA, NM 7.5. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
