1968 Houston Astros Team Signed Baseball Used in Record-Setting 24-Inning Game. The first run of this marathon contest at the Astrodome came in the bottom of the twenty-fourth inning, allowing the hometown team to walk-off as the winner of the longest one-run game in Major League history. The exhausted winners properly felt that a commemoration of the event was in order, grabbing a game ball and applying twenty-eight signatures including Morgan, Aspromonte, Torres, Staub, Coombs, Hatten and more. Autographs average 7/10 on the soiled ONL (Giles) orb, while a period notation (unknown hand) reports, "Game Ball 4/15/68--24 innings." Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
