1967 Roberto Clemente Hit #200 Baseball with Family Letter. Roberto Clemente eclipsed the two hundred hit barrier four times during his Hall of Fame career - essentially the benchmark of a great season. In 1967, Clemente paced the Senior Circuit as he rapped out a league-high 209 hits while finishing third in the MVP balloting. Clemente connected on his 200th hit of the season when he slugged the offered ONL (Giles) baseball off Bill Singer September 25, 1967 at Dodger Stadium. Clemente finished the 4-3 win with three walks and the one hit. "Hit 200 Bill Singer" is written on the north panel while "9/25 1967" appears on the west side of the used orb. We believe the writing is in Clemente's hand. The ball was in Clemente's collection and recently made available by his family. Letter of provenance from Vera Clemente.
