    Description

1966 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. For the first time since 1912, the Yankees finished dead last in the A.L. in 1966. At one point in the season, paid attendance was less than 500 people. Certainly not the fan support the Bronx Bombers are used to, and amazing considering they were still fielding the "M&M Boys" in Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris. Even those two had subpar seasons in 1966, with Mantle managing just fifty-six RBI with his twenty-three home runs, and Maris batting only .233. Still, despite the futile season, the lineup was a classic one, and the team is probably more fondly remembered now than during the season. Certainly one fan will take great appreciation in this offered Official Pro League ball which has been signed by twenty-one in ballpoint ink - average 6/10 to 7/10 with some lesser. The M&M Boys fall within this range and may be viewed from the same angle although Mantle is presented in a clubhouse variety. PSA/DNA has also deemed Murcer and Pepitone as clubhouse. Autographs include: Lopez, Henry, Tresh (reduced), Peterson, Clarke, Richardson, Howard (4/10), Boyer, Bouton, Downing, White, Hamilton, Stottlemyre, Bryan, Womack (only year with Maris as teammate '66). Mantle, Murcer and Pepitone deemed secretarial. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from SGC Authentic.
