Description

1963-65 Houston Colt .45s/Astros Game Worn Jersey. Today Colt .45s jerseys are just about as tough as it gets, as the team existed for just two seasons before the relocation to the Astrodome compelled management to change the team moniker. Road grey flannel exhibits appropriately light wear as there is no roster player listed for number "19" in 1963, with "Houston" in navy and orange block lettering on chest and Texas State flag patch on left sleeve. An embroidered "63" year swatch appears in tail below "Spalding [size] 40" labeling. Washing instructions label at interior button path. It's possible the shirt saw action in 1965 with Sonny Jackson, as the style was still in operation at that time. LOA from Heritage Auctions.
