1962 Sandy Koufax 1,000th Strike Out Game Used Baseball, Signed. A three to one loss to the Chicago Cubs this date couldn't dampen the excitement felt by a future Hall of Fame southpaw as he fanned his 1,000th batter at Dodger Stadium. A faded vintage notation over the "Spalding" stamping of this ONL (Giles) ball reads simply, "1000, 5-2-62," and shows nice use from the historic event. An inscription to a fan present that day ranks 8.5/10 in boldness, and reads, "To Jack--Good Luck & Very Best Wishes, Sandy Koufax." Included with the ball is a ticket stub for the game. Milestone baseballs represent a market on the rise, and a special piece from the career of this immensely popular Hall of Famer should draw great interest. LOA from PSA/DNA. LOA from James Spence Authentication.
