Description

1962 Roger Maris Batting Practice Home Run Single Signed Baseball Before Game 7 of the World Series. Roger Maris had to get that home run swing ready in anticipation of Game 7 of the 1962 World Series. One of his batting practice homers was gathered by youngster Carl Bowers, who snagged a ticket to the contest. Bowers carefully scribed the information from the event on a side panel of this ONL (Giles) baseball. Years later he got Maris to the sign the ball to another side panel. The autograph rates 8/10 and has a layer of shellac applied. Bowers wrote the following on a panel: "7th game of the 1962 World Series October 16, 1962 Hit by Roger Maris to right field bleachers." Bowers' complete story is spelled out within his signed letter. MEARS Authentic. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
