Description
1960's Zack Wheat Single Signed Baseball. Once described as "165 pounds of scrap iron, rawhide, and guts," Wheat led the Brooklyn Dodgers all the way to the National League pennant twice (1916, 1920) while racking up more hits as a Dodger than any player in franchise history. His retirement in 1927 and death in 1972 have made the coveted Wheat single a rare commodity indeed, so we come to the rescue of many Hall of Fame collectors with this OAL (Cronin) ball bearing an elegantly scripted sweet spot signature from the Dead Ball star. The ball displays beautifully despite mild lightening of the ink to a strength of 6 to 7/10. We suggest that serious collectors take this opportunity and bid aggressively, as a chance to own a Wheat single is rarely offered. LOA from Steve Grad & Zach Rullo/ PSA DNA.Auction Info
