Description

1960's Pie Traynor Single Signed Baseball. He earned his nickname from his childhood love of the baked goods, and a Cooperstown plaque for almost two decades of brilliance in a Pittsburgh Pirates uniform. Here we find a marvelous representation of his rare single, inscribed upon the sweet spot of a baseball rather fittingly bearing the logo of "Clark" brand candy bars. Traynor's 9+/10 blue ink reads "To John, With best regards, Pie Traynor." The ball itself is clean and white, free of any visual distractions. A top example of an important rarity. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
