Description

1960's Joe Gordon Single Signed Miniature Baseball.
Four times a World Champion with the New York Yankees, and once with the Cleveland Indians, Gordon failed to garner the recognition he deserved as a player only due to his proximity to legends like DiMaggio, Feller and Lemon, who drew most of the fans' and sportswriters' attention. With an average of over 100 runs batted in per season when factored to a 162-game schedule, Gordon would have been the top dog on many a ballclub, and his Hall of Fame induction more than three decades after his passing in 1978 was long overdue. It has also greatly complicated the search for his singles, now a requirement for every collector with a Cooperstown concentration. This miniature baseball is signed by the Cooperstown resident across the sweet spot. Gordon even offers his "Best Wishes" above his signature. The autograph rates 4/10 and has an even top coating applied. PSA graded the ball as follows: autograph (4), baseball (5) and overall (4.5). The stampings are not visible. Full Grading LOA from PSA/DNA, VG-EX+ 4.5. Auction LOA from SGC Authentic.
