1960's Dizzy Dean Single Signed Baseball, PSA NM-MT+ 8.5. The ringleader of the inimitable Gashouse Gang of 1934, Dean was once quoted as saying, "Anybody who's ever had the privilege of seeing me play knows that I am the greatest pitcher in the world." While that's a statement likely to draw a fair amount of controversy, the declaration that this is the among the finest Dean singles on Earth should meet no opposition.We're aware of just one PSA/DNA Mint 9 representation, a gorgeous relic that commanded nearly $25,000 a few years ago. With a rating of 9/10 for Dean's side panel application, and 7/10 for the ONL (Giles) ball that serves as its home, this offering falls just a half-point short of that lofty mark.
