Description

1955 Brooklyn Dodgers Team Signed Baseball. Widely considered the most desirable of all post-war team balls, the 1955 Dodgers provided Brooklyn with its greatest joy just two years before its greatest heartbreak, leaving the working class borough with just a single World Championship to savor before its abandonment. All your favorites are present and accounted for in this twenty-four man roster, notably Alston (sweet spot), Robinson, Campanella, Reese, Snider, Hodges, Furillo, Newcombe, Erskine, Labine, Black, Podres and the essential Frank Kellert, whose single season of Brooklyn service assures 1955 vintage. Signature quality ranges from 7/10 to 9/10, with only one or two dipping no more than a single point below. Ball is a "Dodgers" souvenir model, lightly and evenly toned. A fine specimen, lacking the clubhouse signatures that plague this era of Bums representations. Auction LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from James Spence Authentication.
