Description
With the legendary Joe DiMaggio settling into retirement, the stage was set for a youngster from Oklahoma to take center stage (and center field). Mickey Mantle's rookie style signature joins twenty-three World Championship teammates upon this OAL (Harridge) ball, including Mize, Rizzuto, Berra, Martin, McDougald, Houk and more. A handwritten number "9" on the "Reach" logo is consistent in format to other team balls that have derived from player collections, so our strong suspicion is that this specimen once belonged to Hank Bauer. Spectacular condition (9/10 average) is due to storage in the original (and included) packaging. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Full LOA from SGC Authentic.
