1952 Babe Pinelli Single Signed Baseball - Home Plate Umpire for Don Larsen's Perfect Game.
Certainly not a single you see every day, Babe Pinelli is the subject of this ONL (Giles) orb. Besides being a player in the 1920's, and not a bad one at that, Pinelli is better known as being the umpire for New York Yankee Don Larsen's perfect game in the 1956 World Series. Pinelli signed a side panel on this lightly aged ball and inscribed: "To Bill Seck Jr. Best Wishes August 25, 1952." The signature registers in at 7.5/10 and consumes an entire side panel. Extremely rare opportunity to acquire this single signed ball. Pre-Certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from SGC Authentic.
