1951 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. The biggest transition in Yankees history came when Joe DiMaggio passed the heavy torch to an upstart named Mickey Mantle. While year one had some ups-and-downs, including Mantle's demise in the second game of the World Series, the season culminated in the pinstriped crew sipping championship champagne. Signed by the title-winning club of '51 is this OAL (Harridge) baseball. Age induced toning is present while the signatures average 6/10 to 8/10 in strength - with a few dipping below. DiMaggio's secretarial sweet spot penning and Mantle's side panel autograph fall within the upper ranges. The slightest hint of a top coating is visible, undoubtedly used to preserve the stellar penmanship. Included are: Woodling, Ostrowski, Mize, Silvera, Morgan, McDougald, Lopat, Raschi, Houk, Bauer, Brown, Sain, Reynolds, Shea, Martin, Overmire, Schallock, DiMaggio, Rizzuto (clubhouse), Coleman, Berra, Hopp, Mantle, Collins, Kuzava and one more. Full LOA from PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
