Description

1951 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball. The single season convergence of the careers of rookie Mickey Mantle and departing veteran Joe DiMaggio establishes '51 Yankees team balls as perhaps the most important and coveted of the post-war era. Each pinstriped legend is present and accounted for upon this OAL (Harridge) sphere, with Joltin' Joe appropriately claiming the sweet spot and the Mick still proving his worth on the panel to the north. Twenty-three fellow World Champions join this iconic pairing, most notably Rizzuto, Mize, Dickey, Berra, Henrich, Crosetti, Raschi, Woodling, McDougald, Houk, Lopat and Sain. The signatures remain marvelously bold with scattered surface scuffing their only adversary, occasionally causing slight ink loss to no considerable detriment. An essential artifact for the serious Yankees collector. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentication.
